Prevention

         As the saying goes, “Prevention is key.” And the same holds true for this disease. The best ways to prevent any type of Plague from forming is to enforce rat control and inform people of the risks. (“Plague” A.D.A.M.) “People should avoid having direct contact with infective tissues, or from being exposed to patients with Pneumonic Plague.” (“Plague” W.H.O.) There is also a vaccination that is available for this disease, but it is not to be used as a precautionary measure or immediate protection.
